Scoping involves drilling a small access hole (typically 1/8 to 1/4 inch in diameter) at a specific calculated point on the safe door, then inserting a fiber optic borescope to view the internal lock mechanism. This allows us to align the lock components and open the safe. The access hole is then plugged, welded, and refinished so that the repair is invisible and the safe maintains its security rating.
